Happy Birthday Pennsylvania, Largest Living History event of the year 

noon to 4 p.m.


This event, formally known as Charter Day, is our first event of the season. At noon, we will be having a period Divine Service that public can take part in. Three French and Indian War units will be in attendance as well as a Revolutionary War American unit. There will also be a display by Ye Olde Colonial Angler of 1770 in the Visitors Center. Weather permitting, there will be a demonstration of drill and firing by the 18th-century groups. Please come and check out our various books and redware items for sale in the bookstore and enjoy the day with us. The event ends at 4 p.m. with the troops getting their daily rum ration.

Basket-making Workshop

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Registration required. The workshop attendance is limited to 8 people; $45 for Friends members and $55 for non-members. All supplies needed to complete the basket will be provided. Please contact us at 610-589-2934 or friendsofconradweiser@yahoo.com to register for the workshop.

Our speaker will be Mr. Kerry Mohn. Lecture will be presented in the Education Building. Free-will donation will be taken

Living History Sunday, Fly Fishing Demonstration

Noon to 4 p.m.


Ken Reinard, known as “Ye Olde Colonial Angler of 1770,” will be demonstrating 18th century fly fishing. This will be an actual catch and throw back on the Weiser Pond. This is a one-day demonstration and only Ken will be fishing. Ken is an avid fly fisherman, fly tier, and historian of the 18th century.
